The Plan

Phase 1 - Midford Viaduct

This phase is probably the most interesting part of the whole Midford scheme. It depicts Midford viaduct (and very little else) looking from East to West. The high ground to the left and to the right was a popular position for photographers and hopefully the layout would be instantly recognisable to any Somerset & Dorset Railway fanatic. It also allows an excellent view of the complicated interaction of the Somerset & Dorset Viaduct, various roads, the GWR Camerton Branch as well as the stream and former canal.
